by admin477351

Amid the ongoing conflict in Yemen, Iran has firmly denied any involvement, asserting that the Houthi forces act independently and make their own strategic decisions. According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, Tehran does not meddle in the internal affairs of Yemen, and he refuted allegations linking Iran to recent events involving Saudi Arabia and Yemen, emphasizing that the conflict has its roots within Yemen itself.

In a related development, Baghaei confirmed the postponement of a scheduled meeting in Oman, which was to include Iran and various Gulf countries. The meeting, initially delayed at the request of Saudi Arabia, was designed to address issues of regional security and cooperation. Despite this setback, Baghaei noted that an understanding between Iran and Oman regarding maritime routes in the Strait of Hormuz had been successfully concluded, and the two nations would determine their next steps independently.

The postponed talks were also intended as a platform for Iran and Oman to present their maritime agreement, highlighting a significant step in their bilateral relations. Although the meeting has been deferred, the finalization of this understanding marks a notable achievement in their collaborative efforts.

Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr Albusaidi, commented on the delay, stating it had been made to foster consensus among the involved parties. He reiterated Oman’s dedication to dialogue and highlighted the importance of maintaining regional stability and fostering long-term cooperation among neighboring countries.
