The doctor calls them “liquid poison” because their high-fructose content bypasses normal digestion and is metabolized almost entirely by the liver, which becomes overwhelmed and starts storing the excess as fat. Second on the list is deep-fried foods. These foods are targeted for their high levels of saturated and trans fats, which are known to cause inflammation and contribute directly to the buildup of fat within liver cells, a condition known as hepatic steatosis. Third on the hit list is ultra-processed foods. This broad category, including everything from chips to instant noodles, is dangerous because it bombards the liver with a combination of unhealthy fats, refined sugars, and artificial chemicals, putting it under chronic stress.
